Australian Public Affairs Full Text (APAFT)
A respected database of complete articles from the top 200 Australian journals dated from 1995 that cover the social sciences and humanities. It also indexes more than 2,000 journals published since 1978.
Australian and New Zealand Reference Centre
An excellent source for the student researcher or general public that includes Australian newspapers in full text including the Australian, Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph and other capital city dailies from 2000 to the present. The database also contains international magazines from, predominately, the US and UK, but also from Canada, Europe and Asia.
ABI/INFORM (Proquest)
High quality, up-to-date coverage from the world's leading journals on business, management, and news. Over 1,000 titles are comprehensively indexed and most have access to complete articles and graphics.
NSW Family History Document Service
Contains over 10,000 pages of documents suitable for family history research in NSW compiled from information in the State Library of NSW, University of New England and State Records. Includes land, mining, pastoral & agricultural records, directories and information on occupations, and useful links.
Australian Literature Gateway
Austlit contains biographical details, full texts of critical articles, and works lists for over 1500 authors. An online Newsletter is published on this site. It is a significant database of Australian literature resources and is supported by the National Library of Australia.
Magpies Talking about books for children
The site is an excellent online subject guide to children's fiction, poetry and short stories with an emphasis on Australian and New Zealand books. Search by author, title, subject, genre and age. The lists of award winning books and copies of selected poems are very useful.
