More than 70 guests were entertained by yarn after yarn told by author and journalist Peter FitzSimons on Wednesday night. He was launching his new book A Simpler Time but spoke on a wide range of topics including Orange Emus, growing up on Sydney's outskirts, his family, why he now wears a bandana and how marrying Lisa (TODAY Show Host) meant he was a legend for “blokes punching above their weight”. The event was just in time for Father's Day and many people took the opportunity to purchase a book and have it signed as a special gift. The library's Peter Douglass is puctured getting a book signed by Peter FitzSimons. The event was supported by Angus & Robertson Bookstore.
