The arrival of the railway line on 19 April 1877 brought great benefits to the town and areas further west. Orange became a major transport centre for the region with the railway providing many employment opportunities. As the railway’s business grew, so did the town, bringing significant growth and prosperity. Enjoy the railway photographic exhibition by the Orange and District Historical Society at Orange City Library. The exhibition officially opens on Tuesday 11 April at 6pm and continues through to 22nd April.
