More than 30 knitters enjoyed a knitting session today followed by morning tea. The Orange Purlers meet on Thursday mornings in the Library to knit and sew squares for the Wrap With Love charity that has distributed 300,000 rugs to 75 countries during the past 20 years. In 2013 the Orange group made 195 rugs, 255 in 2014 and this year they have created 86 rugs so far. Some new knitters were initiated into the cause including Orange City Librarian Sean and visiting PNG ABC Radio manager Carol.
