Frustrated after a hard day’s work? Then vent it all out in a creative way at the next ‘Write Club’ event. The writing theme for August is: Right here, right now. A time capsule of the present. Write story about a situation currently unfolding in your life right here, right now. It could be the story of how you got the unpaid parking fine on your fridge, a relationship at a crossroads or a description of the financial circumstances you currently find yourself in. Will it matter in 3 minutes? 3 months? Or 3 years? Your time capsule of the present will eventually reveal all.
Rules:
- Keep it real. Story should be non-fiction. Definitely no unicorns or dragons.
- No essays, rants or poems. We’re after narrative stories with a beginning, middle and end.
- Write a story from your life, not your life story. Keep the audience awake.
- If this is your first time to ‘Write Club,’ you have to write!
Bring a rough 500 word draft of your non-fiction story to the event and share it with others.
